Terms of Service
Read the scope, responsibilities and limits before use.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Saturney Limited, an entity registered in Hong Kong, concerning your use of the Virtelink iOS/iPadOS application, website and related support materials. By downloading, installing, accessing or using Virtelink after these Terms are presented or linked, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install or use Virtelink and remove the app from your device.
You must have legal capacity to accept these Terms. If mandatory law requires consent from a parent or guardian, that person must review and accept these Terms. Nothing here waives rights that cannot lawfully be waived. App Store availability is determined in App Store Connect and may differ by country or region.
2. Description of the Service
Virtelink is a local network diagnostics and configuration utility. The audited first release can observe the current iOS network path; perform DNS resolution; attempt TCP connections and TLS handshakes to a host and port you provide; request a public-IP measurement; import, parse and locally manage supported WireGuard .conf and OpenVPN .ovpn files; ask iOS to create a VPN configuration; initiate a connection to an endpoint in your imported profile; and store local preferences and diagnostic history.
Virtelink does not currently supply or sell VPN servers, proxy nodes, “airport” accounts, internet access, paid acceleration, a commercial VPN subscription or a cloud account. It is not the operator of a server merely because a profile can connect to that server. Features available in a particular build are those actually shown in that build and its App Store description.
3. License to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, applicable law and the applicable Apple license terms, Saturney Limited grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable and non-transferable license to install and use Virtelink on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for lawful purposes and as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules. Virtelink is licensed, not sold.
You may not distribute, rent, lease, sell or sublicense the proprietary parts of Virtelink, or circumvent technical protections, except where applicable law or an open-source license expressly permits the activity. These restrictions do not limit mandatory rights to interoperability, security research, reverse engineering or other lawful use that cannot be excluded. Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses.
4. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
You are responsible for the hosts, ports and configuration files you provide, for having authorization to use them, and for protecting private keys, certificates, usernames and passwords. You are also responsible for complying with the rules of your network, administrator, VPN operator, resolver and destination service.
- Do not use Virtelink to access or test a system without authorization, disrupt or degrade a network, distribute malware, intercept communications unlawfully, evade a lawful access control, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, or violate applicable law.
- Do not misrepresent your affiliation with Virtelink or another provider, and do not remove proprietary notices from the proprietary portions of the app.
- Use reasonable care when importing profiles. Do not send complete profiles, private keys or passwords to support. These restrictions do not prohibit legitimate diagnostics, authorized security testing or other activity protected by law.
5. Third-Party Configuration Files and Services
WireGuard and OpenVPN profiles may be created by an employer, school, network administrator, hosting provider, commercial VPN provider or another third party. Unless Saturney Limited expressly states otherwise, Virtelink does not operate, endorse, audit or control those providers or their servers. Their availability, content, security, privacy practices, charges and terms are their responsibility.
You must obtain profiles lawfully and comply with the provider’s license and service terms. Virtelink’s compatibility with a format does not grant rights to use a server, certificate, trademark or other third-party property. WireGuard and OpenVPN names and marks belong to their respective owners; their appearance describes protocol compatibility and does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
6. Network Diagnostics
A diagnostic result is a point-in-time technical observation affected by the device, operating system, current network path, DNS resolver, VPN state, destination server, routing, firewall, congestion and timeout settings. A successful result does not prove that a service is secure, private, continuously available or suitable for a particular purpose; a failed result does not necessarily prove that the destination is permanently unavailable.
DNS queries, public-IP checks and TCP/TLS probes necessarily contact external systems as explained in the Privacy Policy. Only test systems you are authorized to contact. Results are informational and should be confirmed with the relevant network administrator when used for an important decision.
7. Availability, Updates and Current Service Model
The first App Store release is a free download and contains no in-app purchase, subscription or paid service. It is intended for iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later and carries an App Store age rating of 12+. The rating is a content-suitability label, not a statement that every 12-year-old has legal capacity to accept these Terms. Storefront availability may vary by country or region.
We may provide maintenance, compatibility, reliability or security updates and may add, change or retire features. We do not promise that every feature, third-party endpoint, profile format or operating-system version will remain available indefinitely. If a future paid feature is introduced, we will first present the applicable price and terms through an authorized purchase flow and will honor mandatory consumer rights. Some updates may be required for security or compatibility.
8. Intellectual Property
Saturney Limited and its licensors retain rights in the Virtelink name, branding, original interface, documentation, artwork and proprietary code, except for rights expressly granted under these Terms. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. Feedback may be used to improve Virtelink without an obligation to implement it, provided we do not claim ownership of your underlying confidential information.
WireGuardKit, TunnelKit/OpenVPN, OpenSSL, SwiftLog and other open-source components are governed by their respective license notices. Nothing in these Terms narrows rights granted by those licenses. Apple, WireGuard, OpenVPN and other third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Virtelink is provided “as is” and “as available.” Saturney Limited does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, universal profile compatibility, permanent availability of a third-party endpoint, or that a diagnostic will identify every network problem. Any implied warranty is excluded only to the extent the law permits.
Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory guarantees, remedies or other consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. If the law in your country or region gives you stronger protections, those protections continue to apply.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the law applicable to your claim, Saturney Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, business, opportunity or data, arising from a third-party profile, server, resolver, destination or network failure, where such loss was not reasonably foreseeable or was outside Saturney Limited’s reasonable control.
Saturney Limited does not exclude or limit liability where doing so is unlawful, including liability that cannot be limited for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, wilful misconduct, or mandatory consumer guarantees. Any monetary cap or exclusion must be assessed under the law and facts applicable to the user; no single global cap is stated in these Terms. You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and protecting credentials, but this does not excuse Saturney Limited from duties imposed by law.
11. Termination and Stopping Use
You may stop using Virtelink at any time by disconnecting any active tunnel, deleting imported profiles and diagnostic history, removing the Virtelink VPN configuration in iOS Settings, and uninstalling the app. Virtelink currently has no user account to suspend or close.
Your license ends if you materially breach these Terms and fail to remedy a remediable breach after reasonable notice where notice is required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive—such as intellectual property, applicable disclaimers, liability limits and dispute terms—continue after termination. Termination does not remove rights or remedies that accrued before termination.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
Saturney Limited is registered in Hong Kong. Subject to the mandatory consumer-protection, choice-of-law and jurisdiction rules that apply where you live, these Terms and disputes with Saturney Limited are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without applying conflict-of-law rules that would select another law. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction, meaning you may retain the right to bring a claim in another court required or permitted by mandatory law.
Before filing a claim, you may contact [email protected] with a description of the issue so the parties can attempt an informal resolution. This does not shorten a statutory limitation period or require arbitration. App Store availability may differ by storefront, and region-specific mandatory rights prevail over inconsistent wording here.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect a product change, security need, legal requirement or operating practice. The version and effective date identify the current text. Changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date. Where required by law, or where a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the website, the app, App Store release notes or another appropriate channel.
Continuing to use Virtelink after an updated version takes effect indicates acceptance only where that mechanism is legally valid. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using and uninstall the app. A change will not retroactively remove an accrued right or an already purchased entitlement contrary to applicable law.
14. Contact Information
Operator: Saturney Limited · Registered jurisdiction: Hong Kong · Product website: https://virtelink.crystalmeadow.world · Support and legal email: [email protected]. Do not email passwords, private keys or complete VPN configuration files.
15. Apple-Related Provisions
Virtelink uses Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement for the app license. These Terms govern the Virtelink service, website and matters not displaced by that license. Apple does not sponsor, endorse or certify Virtelink or any third-party VPN service used with it.
As between Apple and Saturney Limited, Saturney Limited—not Apple—is responsible for Virtelink and for addressing product support, legal compliance and claims to the extent required by the applicable Apple developer terms and law. Apple and its subsidiaries are intended third-party beneficiaries of the applicable app license only to the extent provided by that license. Nothing here expands Apple’s obligations beyond Apple’s own terms or limits rights you have against Saturney Limited under applicable law. Apple’s Standard EULA is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
